Earthquake damage at DSET Public School - Read on Medium

The recent devastating earthquake and aftershocks in Nepal have resulted in significant structural damage to the school building. Classes were in session when the deadly earthquake struck.

Fortunately, all the children are safe. However, several class rooms are completely destroyed, with many of the walls caving in. Emergency repairs have been initiated — but, there is a very long way to go before the school building and the classrooms are safe for the children.

Currently, all the classes are being held outdoors in the open. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the children to study outdoors in the open every day.

Some of the children have started dropping out, as their parents are reluctant to send them to school, due to safety concerns.
